Saul D. Roskes, M.D.
Dr. Saul D. Roskes completed Dartmouth College and Johns Hopkins Medical School. After residencies at Albert Einstein and Hopkins, he completed an NIH fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. With a subspecialty in pediatric renal disease, Dr. Roskes is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital and an associate in the pediatric Renal Clinic. Dr. Roskes joined this practice in 1968.

Kenneth C. Schuberth, M.D.
Kenneth C. Schuberth is a pediatric specialist who sees only referral patients with allergy and asthma problems. He received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University and medical degree from Johns Hopkins. After residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Schuberth completed a fellowship and is board certified in Allergy and Immunology. He is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Hopkins, as well as an attending consultant in the Hopkins Pediatric Allergy Clinic. He has been with this practice since 1978. Alan M. Lake, M.D.
Dr. Alan M. Lake has his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He completed residencies in Pediatrics at the University of Colorado and the State University of New York. After clinical and research fellowships in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Lake came to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1979 as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Lake joined this practice in 1983.

Dennis Headings , M.D., Emeritus
After 17 years with The Maryland Pediatric Group, LLC, Dr. Dennis Headings retired from active pediatric practice in October of 2009. He spends his free time cooking, following the political news, enjoying time with family and traveling. He continues to think about and miss his patients.

Barbara A. Duffy , M.D.
Barbara A. Duffy received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University. She completed her Pediatric residency and an Ambulatory Medicine fellowship at the Children's Hospital in Boston. She then came to Baltimore, where she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center. She joined this practice in 1994.

Angela R. LaRosa, M.D.
Angela R. LaRosa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine. In 1994, Dr. LaRosa relocated to Baltimore to complete her residency in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After a year of practice in urgent care / emergency medicine, at Children's National Medical Center, Washington, D.C., she joined the Maryland Pediatric Group in the fall of 1999.

James E. Fragetta, M.D.
James E. Fragetta was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology and, subsequently, worked in the clinical research division of the pharmacology department at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Fragetta received his medical degree form the University of Tennessee and moved to Baltimore in 1990 to do his pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins. Since completing the chief residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1995, Dr. Fragetta has been practicing pediatrics in the Baltimore metropolitan region, joining the Maryland Pediatric Group in November of 1999.

Kirsten M. Brinkmann, M.D.
Kirsten M. Brinkmann received her undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Maryland. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Pediatric Residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Brinkmann began her practice of pediatrics in Annapolis before joining The Maryland Pediatric Group in January of 2000.

Amy L. Winkelstein, M.D.
Amy L. Winkelstein received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She then moved to Philadelphia where she completed her Pediatric Internship, Residency and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Winkelstein returned home to Baltimore in 2004 when she joined the Maryland Pediatric Group.

Mary B. Garza, M.D.
Mary B. Garza was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She subsequently completed pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Following completion of residency, she worked as a pediatric/neonatal hospitalist and emergency room physician while raising her three children here in Baltimore. Dr. Garza is now accepting new patients and will begin seeing them in September, 2010.

Jacqueline Isola, CRNP
Jacqueline Isola has been a registered nurse since graduating from Shepherd College in 1985. She went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, after which time she became board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She worked at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center from 1985-1990 specializing in the care of infants and toddlers with medical and surgical needs. From 1990-1998 she worked within the division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Johns Hopkins. Since 1998 she has worked for this practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner focusing on both general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.

Theresa Gagen-Hursey, CRNP
Theresa Gagen-Hursey graduated from Towson University with a BS in Nursing. She earned her MSN degree from the University of Maryland and a post Masters PNP from the Johns Hopkins University. She worked at the Johns Hopkins Children Center as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from 1988 to 2001. Terri joined The Maryland Pediatric Group in January of 2001.

AnnaRuth Kelley, CRNP
AnnaRuth Kelley received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She moved to Baltimore to work at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she held increasingly senior positions during her five years there. During that time she cared primarily for infants and toddlers with a variety of complex medical problems as well as postoperative patients. She completed her Master's of Science in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins University, and is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She has been working with this practice since 2007.

Annette Mannion CRNP
Annette Mannion received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She then moved to Baltimore and received her bachelor's in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University. While working at the Johns Hopkins Hospital on the infant/toddler medical-surgical and intermediate care unit, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins University and is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. Annette began her practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Bel Air six years ago and joined the Maryland Pediatric Group in 2010.

Kass Benchoff, Practice Administrator
Kass Benchoff received her bachelor's degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She worked for Black & Decker as a sales representative and trainer for five years, living in several cities across the US. She then transitioned into the medical field while working with a pharmaceutical company in their management training program in San Francisco. She relocated to Baltimore in 2006 and joined The Maryland Pediatric Group as Practice administrator in 2009.
As Practice Administrator, Kass' role entails overseeing the daily operations of all areas of the office. She is a liaison between the patients and their providers. She is a resource for questions regarding managed care. Please feel free to share with her any suggestions or feedback regarding the office. Her door is always open!
