We now have the Fall 2026 Moderna COVID vaccine available for patients ages 6 months and older.

Patients of The Maryland Pediatric Group may walk in on Thursdays 8:30a-4p to receive their vaccine. This will be at the same time as our flu clinics. Your child may also receive their flu vaccine.

If your child has an upcoming well visit or appropriate office visit, the vaccine may be administered at that time and you will not need to come in at a separate time.

Measles Outbreak

The MDOH declared an MMR outbreak in MD (specific counties: St. Mary’s, Cecil and Carroll).
Because of this, our patients in Carroll County should be getting a first MMR vaccine early (ages 6m-11m, please note another dose will be given again at the 12 month visit). Also patients living in that county who have not had their second dose yet (typically given at age 4) , the booster dose should be given early as well (ages 13m-3y11m) to complete their MMR series. Walk in vaccines are M-F 8:30AM-4PM. If you have any questions about your child’s measles protection please call us during our regular business hours 8:00AM - 4:30PM M-F.

Beyfortus-RSV Antibody

The AAP recommends all babies be protected from severe RSV by one of two immunization options: A maternal RSV vaccine given to mother during pregnancy or an RSV antibody given to your baby. Most babies do not need both.

This RSV season we will be offering the RSV antibody to eligible infants. Beginning October 1, 2026 , eligible infants younger than 8 months may walk in to receive the RSV antibody, Monday-Friday between 8:30am-4pm or, if appropriate, at your newborn or well baby visit, we will offer it then.

*Certain high risk infants over age 8 months may be eligible for a dose. Please discuss with your MPG provider in advance.*

Please complete and bring the consent form with you.

Although most insurance companies are covering the RSV antibody, you will be responsible for any uncovered portion of the $501 cost.

2026-2027 Influenza Vaccine

2026-2027 Flu Clinics

Our flu vaccine clinics will be held every Thursday from 8:30a to 4p starting on September 10, 2026. You may walk in during this time period for your child(ren) to receive their flu vaccine...no appointment needed. COVID vaccine can also be given at this time upon request.

In addition to Thursday clinics, we will have walk ins available on the following days from 8:30a to 4p:
September 21st
October 16th
November 3rd

Lastly, to accommodate families who are unable to make it to the above clinics, we will have walk in hours from 4:30p-6:30p on:
October 1st
October 22nd
November 5th

*We will still administer flu vaccine if your child has a scheduled well visit or appropriate sick visit and you will not need a separate visit for vaccination. Siblings can also be vaccinated at these appointments.

Please review the Vaccine Information Sheet and the Consent Form prior to your appointment. Please bring the signed consent form with you in order to expedite your child/children's appointment.

Hepatitis B Vaccine

MPG and the Maryland Health Department will continue to follow the evidence based recommendation to give the first dose of Hepatitis B vaccine at birth in alignment with the American Academy of Pediatrics vaccine schedule.

MPG COVID Update

Greetings MPG patients and families! Here are the latest updates on how we are approaching care at our office in the setting of COVID. As you know things are constantly in flux, so don’t hesitate to call us, explore our website, and/or check in on our Facebook and Instagram feeds for the latest news and updates.

General Office Policies

Masks are required for patients (2 and older) and/or accompanying caregivers who have respiratory symptoms (such as runny nose, congestion, cough), fever, sore throat, exposure to COVID or known COVID (even if here for well care).
Masks are optional for all other patients/accomanying caregivers.
Masks will be worn by our providers and staff during direct clinical care.

Covid Testing
MPG is performing Covid PCR and rapid antigen tests. COVID tests require a visit at MPG.

Covid Vaccine
The providers at MPG recommend that all children get the covid vaccine when it is available to their age group. Click here for info on how to get your vaccine at MPG.
