C. Kathryn Wendt CRNP
Kate moved to the Baltimore area in 1993 after completing her bachelor's of science in nursing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2000, she received her master's of science in nursing at the University of Maryland, and is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. She began her Nurse Practitioner career in pediatric private practice, then transitioned into hospital based centers, where she took care of primary care pediatric patients and babies in the newborn nursery. She also provided specialized care to high-risk infants in a developmental follow-up clinic for ex-premature babies. Kate is a University of Maryland School of Nursing Faculty Associate in the Department of Family and Community Health, and recently became part of the Maryland/Chesapeake Chapter Executive Board of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
In her free time, Kate is usually found spending time with her husband, Rob, and her two teenage children, Ryan and Anna. One of their family’s favorite past times is walking and playing with their yellow Lab, Tyson. She joined MPG in 2020.
