Marc A. Callender M.D.
Marc A. Callender, MD, originally from New York City, received his medical degree and Pediatric residency training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Yale University. Dr. Callender completed a Pediatric Global Health Fellowship through the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in which he provided primary care and HIV treatment to children in the Dominican Republic and trained local and international medical students and residents.
After returning to Maryland, Dr. Callender served patients and families for over 10 years as a Pediatric Emergency and Inpatient Hospitalist. Joining the Maryland Pediatric Group in August 2024, he is grateful for the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with his patients and to partner with parents to support their children’s health and thriving.
Outside of work, Dr. Callender enjoys weekend trips with his wife, tossing the football and practicing strings with their four sons, and serving at their local church.
